Payment

A non-refundable deposit of 30% is required to start work, with the balance due upon completion and before delivery.

Cancellations, Returns, and Alterations

Orders cannot be cancelled once production has started, and returns are not accepted for “change of mind” or incorrect customer measurements due to the custom nature of the product. Any alterations to the order must be requested in writing immediately and may incur additional charges.

Delivery and Risk

Delivery dates are often estimates and not guaranteed. The customer is typically responsible for ensuring the site is accessible for delivery and installation, with additional fees for difficult access or failed delivery attempts. The risk of damage often passes to the buyer upon delivery, but legal title to the goods may remain with the seller until full payment is received.

Product Specifications and Natural Variations

Because natural materials like timber are used, variations in colour, grain, knots, and natural movement (e.g. small cracks due to environmental changes) are normal and not considered defects or covered by warranty. Customers are encouraged to inspect samples before ordering.

Warranty

Warranties cover the structural integrity or manufacturing defects for a specified period (10 years). Damage from misuse, improper handling or using incorrect cleaning chemicals is not covered.

Intellectual Property

The design, sketches, and technical drawings of our bespoke piece will remain the intellectual property of the Jarrimber, even after the customer purchases the physical item.

Inspection

Customers are typically required to inspect the finished product upon delivery and report any issues or damage in writing within a very short timeframe (e.g., 24 hours to two days).
