    FAQs About Timber Bar Stools

What is the best wood for my bar stool?

For items that are going to get a lot of usage, like your bar stools, it is recommended that you use a hardwood such as a Jarrah, Marri, or Tasmanian Oak. That is not to say you can't use any other type of wood. We work with you on creating your perfect piece, so you let us know your preference and we will do the rest. All of our wood is Australian-grown and sustainably harvested. This means your furniture has a smaller environmental impact than almost any other on the market. All of the woods we offer give a gorgeous finish to your piece, so if you don't have a preference get in touch and let's work together to make the perfect set for your space.

What should the height of my bar stools be?

If you are getting bar stools for an already existing surface, such as a kitchen bench or a breakfast bar. We recommend you measure the height of your surface and then find a bar stool to match. The typical height of a kitchen counter or breakfast bar is between 890 to 1190 mm tall. A bar stool should be between 300 to 400 mm shorter. For example, if your kitchen counter is at a height of 1190 mm, aim for a bar stool that is about 900-920 mm tall.
